Get ready for our first (digital) event! (UPDATED)

We’re excited to officially announce our first dedicated (digital) event today! Just in time for the release of Godot 4.0, we want to support indie developers using the Godot engine from all over the world and offer them a new spotlight. We've been a Silver Sponsor of Godot for some time, but are looking for ways to support developers more directly.

To participate in the event, all you have to do is submit your project or game by the deadline and present it to the community during a livestream. After all the games have been presented, the community will then democratically select a winner. The venue itself is our in-house Striked platform. There we will provide a dedicated section (Space) for the event, where both the games will be presented and the voting will take place.

The winning team will get a prize money of 1000,00€!

Please keep in mind that there might still be some errors. You can easily report them via our feedback system in the header.

We don't want to keep it too formal, but those are the rules we came up with:

General

You can work alone or in a team. Whether your project is finished or still in development, just submit it before the deadline ends!

Requirements

  • Only projects or games developed with the Godot engine will be accepted.
  • The creation of a Striked account is necessary in order to present the game (in the livestream) to the community and also to be able to vote.

Schedule (Updated)

Deadline for submission of projects/games

  • 30th of April 2023, 6pm (CET)

Time slot for the presentation of projects/games in a livestream

  • 2nd of May 2023, 12pm (CET)
  • 3rd of May 2023, 3pm (CET)
  • 4th of May 2023, 7pm (CET)

End of the voting phase

  • 7th of May 2023, 7pm (CET)

Submit project/game

  • Game/project submissions will only be accepted via DM on Discord from 'Joee#4213', on the 'Godot contributors chat platform' from 'Joe' or via email to '[email protected]'.
  • No game files need to be uploaded to the platform, the presentation in the stream is sufficient. But of course we would be happy if you would like to present your game to us and we would be happy to support you.

Submissions must include the following information:

  • Title of the project or game
  • Team name
  • Short description (max. 300 characters)
  • Contact (email address, Discord handle or Striked account)
  • The names (can be nicknames) and ideally user handles (Discord or preferably Striked) of all team members
  • A short statement on whether we may mention your project on our social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter). We will gladly link your channels if you send us the handles.

Presentation of the games/projects

  • There are 3 different dates/time slots (indicated above) on which the participants of the event may flexibly present their projects.
  • Each team gets a time slot of 10 minutes to present their project.

Voting

  • Following the final livestream, the community will be able to vote on all presented projects through likes.
  • The project with the most likes by the end of the voting period wins.
  • In the event of a tie, the money will be split. Unless there are more than three entries with the same number of likes. Then there will be a run-off.

Reward

Prize money of €1000.00 to the winner with the most likes.

This is an early access version of Striked. Please note that some pages are not available yet or may not function properly.
